Adam on Barbara's 10 Most Fascinating People 2009 - Wait There Are Other Fascinating People Besides Adam?
Controversy, controversy, controversy. If you listened to any media reports last week that's all you would hear with regard to Adam Lambert. AMA's, AMa's, Ama's, ama's ... Is there an echo in all the media reports or what? Yeah Adam was on the AMA's - rocked it - caused some people to love it, some people to not love it - now get over it already media. (Is it the elite media - I forget - don't know anymore - I'm all confused.)
Then ABC cancels him - blah, blah, blah - we all know the rest. But wait ...
What's this?
He's going to be on Barbara Walter's 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009? Hold on - Adam Lambert is being mentioned in a title with the word Fascinating all by itself? No controversy - no sexual acts on stage. What?
Did the trade winds just change direction? Did the magnetic pole move? Is Antartica still covered with ice? At least that is where the mainstream media would seem to lead us to believe if Adam is merely a great singer, and performer, and fascinating and creating the new mainstream in popular culture and not just some controversial icon that they can only ask a few soundbite questions of.

Ok, so maybe this is actually happening. I mean maybe Barbara will ask Adam one of those totally cheesy questions - "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?." Hmmm. Well, at least it's a start I guess :-)

CBS Probably High Fiving Right Now - Adam Available To Other Networks
Ok, probably Adam pissed off some high-up executive at ABC following the AMA's for whatever lame reason, and the exec is making bad decisions right now out of anger/spite you name it. And yeah, I had requested tickets online to go see Adam on Jimmy Kimmel, and so was dissapointed to hear that was not going to happen.
So Adam just tweeted - Let's focus on the positives: Well, I for one agree, and here is why.
1.) Adam is now available to the other networks who want to compete for the guy that the paparazzi is going nuts over, and following everywhere. In short where all the buzz is at. As in the title - CBS must be jumping for joy right now. Remember they cleared the decks right after the AMA's to have Adam on.
2.) The other networks are getting a two-for. Not only is Adam available, but with ABC canceling Adam, they've stirred up yet more controversy for him, and so offering even more free publicity and reasons to watch Adam!! Who do you think typical non-conformist teens want to see more of right now? Those safe picks that ABC will put on now or the guy that ABC is telling you not to watch - ( Whatever you do - don't press the red button)
3.) Money talks, and even though Adam's first week sales were a little under the prediction curve, he still sold close to 200K albums in the first week. That's 2 1/2 times Kris sales with his album. Who do you think networks who are thinking clearly want to bet on?
4.) ABC has got a weak bluff in poker terminology. Barbara Walters was adamant that she believed her network was making a huge mistake in canceling Adam on GMA. So what next. Is ABC going to inform Barbara she can not have Adam on her 10 Most Fascinating People for 2009? ABC vs Barbara Walters - I don't think so. So in the end Adam will be on ABC by proxy anyway, and in the meantime, they have only served to prop up Adam's notoriety even more.
5.) Let's not forget what happened at the AMA's. Out of all these big name artists - many with their own controversy and such (Like Lady Gaga, Eminem, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, blah blah blah) - who was everyone talking about afterwards? Now only Adam could have accomplished that feat.
I think overall Adam is a superstar and by trying to hold him back right now - ABC is making themselves look rather small with their childish ill-informed decisions, and are going to have the opposite effect. They are currently turning Adam into an even greater superstar. Just check out how many new twitter followers Adam has gotten since the AMA's.

Really Getting Into Master Plan
Oh yeah, it seems ever since I downloaded the two bonus tracks off of FYE, I can't stop listening to "Master Plan". I'm even dreaming about it when I sleep.
And no I don't need help :-)
I'm loving it so much. Of course I love "Whataya Want From Me" also, but I just can not seem to put "Master Plan" down. I'm drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It's enticing, captivating, and engulfing and I love that feeling. Know what I mean?

After Oprah - Adam's Album Number One Again For Pre-Orders
Well it's happened. Adam is back at number one for pre-orders with "For Your Entertainment" after being on Oprah today. I wonder how many new fans he has made.
Imagine, some 40-something housewife sits down with her coffee to relax and watch Oprah today. She doesn't typically watch American idol and does not know too much about Adam. She switches on the TV, and sees Adam Lambert singing "Born To Be Wild." Like in slow motion, her coffee cup drops out of her hand and smashes on the floor beneath her. It's happened. She's been converted and her world will never be the same again. :-)

Time For Miracles Music Video Rocks My World!
Wow - I just watched Adam's interview on ET giving clips from his new music video - Time For Miracles. It is incredible. Adam looks amazing. I absolutely love his expressions, love his jacket, love his hair, and of course love him!!
The music and the video go so well together. Don't you think after all this, it will not be too long before we see Adam starring in his own movie? Oh my god I can not wait for that to happen. If you've not seen the video so far - Go check it out!!

Adam Gaga For Lady
Wow, does it seem like everything is moving at a faster pace with Adam since Time for Miracles was released. He was on Entertainment Tonight - tonight, and he'll be on again tomorrow - YEAH!!.
But he's also going to be recording a song for Lady Gaga. Ok, so we know there has got to be PVC/leather involved, and coming on the heals of his recent photo shoot, you know it's going to be hot. Real Hot. I don't know what the melody of the song will be like, but I know Adam will squeeze every ounce of music out of it. Lucky music ;-) *Sigh*

So, Adam tweeted today that he wrapped up a long day shooting video footage for Time For Miracles.Can you imagine how lucky the crew feels, being able to watch the behind the scenes action. OMG - what I would give to see that.
I hope (although I'm sure they will be ) someone is recording that very behind the scenes footage for a documentary later. *Maybe a bonus track on a DVD - oohhh, ooohhh, oh please, oh please.*

Adam's New CD Tops Amazon's Bestsellers List
Well, I don't think we are surprised, but it is still incredible, to see Adam's pre-release soar to the top of Amazon's pre-release chart. In doing so, he is beating out Barbara Streisand, Harry Connick jr, The Beatles, Madonna, and Mariah Carey. Oh and that's without any strong set of marketing, major TV circuits. Mainly this has happened on word of mouth. Just wait until that happens. Can you see the rising cloud?
Adam is about to explode onto the scene like nothing else we have seen in a very long time. (I know, I know, he's been around to his hard core fans for a while now, and anyone else lucky enough to have been able to watch AI last season) but for the rest of everyone that has not heard of Adam yet, this release is about to blow them - no, not away, rather toward Adam.
I don't know, Adam kind of reminds me of the personification of Google in the way it took off. Pretty soon, he'll be showing up in movies, and his name is going to be everywhere. Adam Thanks Fans, And Says To Keep Eyes Peeled For Solo Tour
Ok, Adam put out an interview thanking his fans for all their efforts in coming to the tour. He thanked the fans for getting dressed up, and putting on all their glitter, nail polish and crafting signs. He also said to pay attention after the album comes out because if it does well, then there will be a solo tour.

Now It's Time For Adam To Really Bloom - Solo Career
It was bittersweet tonight watching the cellcast of the last performance of the AI tour.
I have to admit after AI finished, I was a little depressed at the prospect of not being able to see Adam every week. When the tour started, I was so excited that there was the chance to go see Adam again. And thankfully to fan posts, we got nearly daily exposure to Adam's performances. (I was lucky enough to go see three concerts) So I do have worries that I'll be going through some Adam withdrawal in not seeing him so regularly over the coming weeks.
But, we do know that his album is almost here. (That I can not wait for.) Also, he'll most likely be making the TV circuit to promote his album. (Lot's of that please) But, what I am really looking forward to is when he goes on his solo tour. Can you imagine. So far we've only gotten to see Adam for 20mins on the tour. But once he goes solo - OMG I'm trembling just thinking about it.
Up till now, it's been so incredible what I've been able to see of Adam. However, I can't wait till the day that I can finally say I went to go see an Adam Lambert concert. So far, Adam has surpassed every milestone he has set. I think that now, when he has even more freedom to express his real music, he is going to bloom into the most exquisite artist the world has ever seen

Yet, I think 50 cent's take on the situation was interesting to see. He empathized with getting your first award, and then spoke of giving an interesting award to Kanye personally, however I'm betting Kanye will not show up for that deserved one :-)

A Comparison Of True Love And Goodness Between The Protestors And Adam
I have to say I was kinda stumped about this. Maybe in this politically correct world, this is one of those issues you don't want to touch. But I'm sorry, I can't.
If you are offended by words of hatred, you may want to skip this article. But what I want to do is juxtapose the two sides together, and through their own words you can decide for yourself where true goodness rests.
On one side, you have a very small sect of fundamentalist Christians from Westboro Baptist Church who feel compelled to protest specifically against Adam Lambert.
In this case, the women pictured is singing foul, repugnant, disgusting words. The source of such hatred, I do not understand.

Even Though Adam Is At The Top Of His Game - He's Still Upping His Performances
First off, if you've been reading my blog, I'm sure you can tell how big an Adam Lambert fan I am. If you've not been reading my blog - where have you been? ;-) Ok, then I'll clue you in. I'm a huge Adam Lambert fan. No, scratch that - a hugely obsessed fanatically infatuated frenzied fervent devoted single-minded enthusiastic impassioned fan. Whoooooaaaaaa. In summary, I Love Adam Lambert!!
Ok, so as I'm watching each new video of the performances that Adam is giving, I'm thinking to myself - wow, I think he's continuing to put even more into every song. Is that even possible, singing the same songs, night after night? But he's doing it. His voice is soaring higher, and is even stronger. He's putting in extra dance moves, extra ad-libs, extra throwing twirls. He's having more and more fun up there, and we are right there with him.
Occasionally, I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not just in some dreamlike limbo - but yes, the pinch hurts. It's actually happening. Adam is amazing strutting his thang, night after night. Nice thang. Ok, I'm easily distracted by Adam's thang. - who isn't?
But my point is that yes - night after night, Adam's performances are growing, and expanding. When he is on stage, it feels like the arenas are over emotional capacity and about to pop. He punctuates the space with brilliance, and sex and this roller coaster ride keeps on ascending into space.

Adam Lambert - Reading "Feel" - Biography of Robbie Williams
Adam talks about life on the road, and being able to rest up through reading. Currently he mentioned that he was reading Feel - a biography on Robbie Williams. Adam says it's a great book that talks about coping with fame. I wonder what book will be featured next in the Adam Lambert book club.

Don't You Think Adam Lambert Should Have His Own Reality Show?
I was surfing channels today, and happened to see the reality show, "Ice Road Truckers." I thought to myself, wow this show must have viewers. Then there are other reality shows on Denise Richards, Gene Simmons, and the Kardashians.

Adam is extremely hot right now (and forever more.) Fans are interested in everything he does, and hang on his every word. He even has fans all across the globe. So why not a reality show for Adam Lambert? The Life of Glambert - perhaps?
It could start out with him coming home from the tour, and working with his mom to get a house. Perhaps an episode on decorating the house with Adam, Mom, and Drake. Maybe his hookah lounge will look like my video - Wink, wink ;-)
Maybe there could be an episode with people working on the new album so we can hear what they are saying about it - you know building up the suspense for us fans. Followed by Adam on his solo tour.
Hey, there could even be an episode on make-up techniques. Although that would most likely be a two-parter ;-)

If you're like me and have spent hours examining the videos from last night's Pittsburg show, you will have seen the new WLL move where he adds a new position to the Adam Sutra - a reverse mic stand straddle. Whew, major adamgasm!
What I found interesting is that he is trying to keep all his fans happy. He says "Woman", but he still included "I wanna be your back-door man" and introduced Position #3. Adam is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get - other than it's gonna be real good.

Hey Cut Out The Crap - Stop Throwing Hard Stuff At Adam
Ok, this really has to stop! Even though I've joked about this a little bit in one of my prior videos about the Puffy suit - this is no joking matter. I normally try to write with humor, but this is just nuts. It looks like someone threw a drumstick right at Adam at 1:35 in the video below. What an absolute idiot. It's too bad there weren't any Adam fans around (him/her) to kick their ass. I mean, I don't know why anyone in the crowd is taking in a drum-stick?
Enough is enough. I've read that there may be Adam haters in the crowd who may be responsible for this kinda stuff going on. Well I don't know if it's that or not, or just an over zealous fan with no common sense, but if something isn't done, Adam's gonna get hurt. Pretty soon, no-one (including fans just wanting to throw up soft items out of fun) is going to be allowed to throw anything up on the stage.
I think in the mean time, they should post some security folks in front of the stage looking out towards the crowd. That may help.

Are You Getting Antsy For Adam's New Album
I don't know about you, but I feel like the clock is ticking so slowly as I wait for Adam's album to be released. I know it is scheduled to be released in the fall. I also know we are only a month or two away. But it is just taking so long to get there.
I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve counting every single tick of the clock, each tick resonating like a bass drum. Or like the kids in the back of the car shouting, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" Hopefully I'm not so annoying though ;-)
The anticipation is crescendoing into a tsunami of emotion. Furthermore, Brian May's comments last week about how incredible Adam's soundtrack is going to be on the movie 2012 didn't help, and just added more fuel to the fire. Then, Adam's Boa dance just pumped up the hysteria even more. I feel like I'm about to burst.
So I just need to figure out how to take a metaphysical cold shower, and be patient. Easier said than done. Ahhh, I still want to sneak under the tree and grab out the presents early :-(

Danny Gokey Has Secret Record Deal On The Horizon?
Danny reportedly announced that he has a secret record deal on the horizon, but has been asked not to talk about it.
Hmm. Isn't it funny, that even before the end of the show, there was so much speculation about who Adam would be touring and recording with. No secrets then. Even some of the other information got leaked out. (Hard to keep secrets when so many people are interested.)
So it is in the case of Danny that we are to believe that this info is super classified - and no-one wants to be the one to spill the beans. I don't know, I'll believe it when I see it.
Don't get me wrong, I thought Danny was promising at the start of idol, but he never seemed to progress since then. Always singing the same way - week to week. I wonder if record producers are nervous thinking the same thing.
Hey, I'll admit the guy has been trying real hard on the tour to change up his set - even if it is mainly copying ideas from Adam. At least he is trying - I suppose. And maybe, just maybe he has enough support of fans to give him a cult following.
But it's interesting the difference in trying to turn votes into album sales. No such problem for Adam. He can sneeze, and fans want to buy it. (Eewww - ok maybe not that.) My advice for the other idols is try to get as much collaboration work as you can with Adam.

Adam's Robert Sebree Photo Shoot - Sizzzzzzzzzzlllllllllliiiiiinnnggg

With the way he is dressed, and the staging backdrop, all, I can say is YES, YES, YEs, YEs, Yes, Yes, yes, yes ... (Thanks "Harry Met Sally", and in this case I'll definitely have what HE's having.) Did the temperature in the room just shoot up 2000° ?
Ok, my first thought is quirky but - Wow, what a cool mansion Adam is going to have. Step off MTV Cribs - Adam's crib is going to be classy, elegant, refined, and with about 5000 sq. yards of leather - and that's just the drapes.
Actually come to think of it, wouldn't you watch MTV cribs if it featured Adam? (Dumb question. I know - we'd watch anything if it contained Adam.) But still, I think that would be an awesome show. I think his episode would be the first crib to showcase a Disco Ball and Stickley furniture.
Yes Adam is indeed refined ( a touch of MOD perhaps?) but oozing sex at the same time, and so photogenic to boot. Who else could pull off a three-piece suit, with Lucas Centurian shoulder pads, and a chain-maille vest?

Adam Lambert's David Boa Medley

Who said there's no glamour in music any more? His name is Adam Lambert. In this video, he struts his stuff, and picks up a feather Boa part way through. Now, he could have done the cliche routine with the Boa, but he didn't. He made his own show out of it.
He first puts it over one shoulder, but finds it slipping off the other side and dragging at his feet. So rather than mopping the stage early, he does a juggling act with the mic, transferring it to his other hand, and gathers the rest of the Boa up, and drapes it over his other arm as he saunters (with hand on hip) across the stage.
He ends the routine, by having the Boa perform a half-pike with two double twists into the audience for 10's all round (except for that pesky French judge.)
So tips for other performers (Danny, are you taking notes?), it's not just about what you sing but the age-old fashion advice. Remember bitches (after you've gotten up to dance), ACCESSORIZE!

Adam's New Sound Track for SciFi Movie Coming Out In November
Adam's sound track on the upcoming movie "2012" is due out in November. I can't wait to hear what he's going to do with that.
First off, Adam is just starting out after AI. He's not even finished the tour, and he's already had a Rolling Stone cover, an Entertainment Weekly cover, and was being chased for an album deal, and had other people scrambling about to get working with him.
There is even talk that if Adam spells a word wrong that Lambert fans are keen to go with his spelling. (Whoa there fans - let's at least keep the spelling in check - kinda getting Life of Brian there.) But seriously, what Adam says is now becoming quite important to millions of fans. He should now be officially known as Adamoprah.
He talks about his favorite movie - Velvet Goldmine, and rentals go through the roof. He talks about his favorite ice cream - French Silk - and they run out of milk at the factory ( ok no source on that one, but a good bet.) He mentions Tokio Hotel's lead singer, and their website gets over-loaded. Ok, so Adam, I just made some investments in a pharmaceutical company last week, so I need you to start talking about Prep-H ;-) (Just kidding)

Need To Post Caution Signs Of Artifacts On Stage When Adam Performs

First of all, this is a great video showing Adam at his best - interacting with the audience, and able to improvise on his feet (Channeling Robin Williams I presume.) I was laughing so hard when he ad-libbed the line, "Ohhh, this is extra large..."
What is it about Adam that causes throngs of fans to throw up all sorts of undergarments, and "personal artifacts" ;-) - if you know what I mean. Did you see the huge bra that was thrown up, and landed cups down on stage. I couldn't decide if two meteors had impacted the stage (not the only heavenly body on stage), or there was some topless 7-foot Valkyrian somewhere in the audience. (Not easy to miss I would expect.)
Fans appear to be captivated by Adam on stage in a way that supplements what they get out of just listening to him alone. Are we back to the days when going to a concert actually would mean something? You're not just listening to the CD with said artist on stage. There is actually a connection going on between artist and audience.
What ever it is, Adam should bottle it right now.

What is it about Adam that causes throngs of fans to throw up all sorts of undergarments, and "personal artifacts" ;-) - if you know what I mean. Did you see the huge bra that was thrown up, and landed cups down on stage. I couldn't decide if two meteors had impacted the stage (not the only heavenly body on stage), or there was some topless 7-foot Valkyrian somewhere in the audience. (Not easy to miss I would expect.)
Fans appear to be captivated by Adam on stage in a way that supplements what they get out of just listening to him alone. Are we back to the days when going to a concert actually would mean something? You're not just listening to the CD with said artist on stage. There is actually a connection going on between artist and audience.
What ever it is, Adam should bottle it right now.

Why No Love From The Teen Choice Awards?
So I get the news that Adam wins the Teen Choice awards "Male Reality" star. I sit and watch the whole show, and no-one even mentions Adam. What?
Did I miss something? Didn't he win?
Is there some conspiracy to play down Adam's achievements? I don't mean to go all conspiratorial, but I'm not sure how they can go through the entire show, and not mention one of the most promising artists who won a category on their own award show.
It's not the first time I've seen them not mention Adam. On Fox 10 in Pheonix last month, they had a segment on the American Idols. They interviewed several of them at the resort they were staying at, and didn't interview Adam, or even mention him. (I know Adam is busy, so it may be difficult to interview him - but not even mention him?)
Although it was pretty funny, because right before the segment, the weather guy was raving about how some friends had went to see the concert, and were just going on about how much Adam rocked the show. Then the hosts had to say, "Oh well everyone was doing well..." - usual throw away line. Then they played their bit that did not mention Adam.
I don't know - we'll see what happens after the tour. But it seems that the Idol star who doesn't have to do much marketing to be selling all his merchandise is going to be sitting pretty in the long run.
Remember as main stream and as American Pie as Elvis seems today, even he created a lot of controversy in the beginning. In that light (and what a glorious light it is.) It seems we are now seeing the next greatest star (Supernova?) right at the very beginning of his career.
